General Board Member Obligations

As a member of the CRF-OC Board of Directors, I understand and agree to the following:*

I understand and agree to the obligations below.

I am expected to make every reasonable effort to attend all board meetings as well as my committee meetings, and will actively engage in fundraising and development activities on behalf of CRF-OC. I will endeavor to promote CRF-OC through social media. I will work to solicit personal and/or professional contacts to financially support CRF-OC and will work with the CRF-OC Executive Director, as needed, to develop promising leads. I will also make every effort to volunteer for CRF-OC programs when called upon and will encourage colleagues and associates to volunteer for CRF-OC programs as needed.

Annual Benefit Obligations

I will support the Annual Benefit (September 24, 2026) – CRF-OC's primary fundraiser of the year – and will:*

Make every effort to attend the event.
Invite/solicit my own firm/company/vendor to sponsor and attend the event.
Invite/solicit at least 2 additional firms/companies/vendors to sponsor and attend the event.
Invite a friend, colleague, family member, community leader and/or dignitary.
Donate a silent auction item with a minimum value of $100 plus a bottle of wine with a minimum value of $40 (or additional equivalent silent auction item) no later than August 14, 2026. If I do not want to donate items to the silent auction, I will donate $500 as a buyout option by August 1st.

Committee Service

All board members must serve on at least one committee. Active service requires regular attendance at committee meetings, fundraising, participation and attendance at program event(s), and assisting with recruitment of volunteers where necessary.
